vandal journal was founded in spring.2009 by Daniel Pena, Amanda Grosgebauer and Angie Cruz in College Station, TX.
the first issue [walls] 1.1 was released in fall.2009. the advisory board for the first issue included: Angie Cruz, Jimmy Santiago Baca, Emily Raboteau, Daisy Hernandez, Marco Portales and Nelly Rosario.
