submission guidelines
Fiction up to and no longer than thirty pages [one inch margins, double-spaced] or 3-5 pieces of poetry may be submitted. All poetry must be pre-formatted within a word document. Simultaneous submissions are allowed. If you do not hear back from us within thirty days, please fell free to inquire about your piece.
Submissions will never be knowingly ignored, we will not publish previously published pieces. Feature writers are by invitation only. Submissions should be sent as in .doc form to submissions@vandaljournal.com
State the media in the subject of your email in this format
prose submission: your name
Please include a cover letter with a short bio, name [or pen name], city, country , and previous places of publication.
Presently, vandal does not offer monetary compensation for accepted work. We will however promote your name and your work online and in print.
When you submit your work, it is understood that:
[a] the work submitted is of your own creation.
[b] you are granting vandal the right to publish your work upon acceptance and to archive your work for any length of time online and in print.
Personal copyright reverts back to the artist upon publication. All work published is with the express consent and permission of the author. Works published by vandal may not be reproduced, electronically or otherwise, without prior consent of the author or representative.
The editors will not assume responsibility for loss or damage to materials submitted. Nor will the editors, staff or financial supporters assume any legal responsibility for materials published in the journal. Materials published in the journal do not necessarily represent the views of the editors, staff, or financial supporters.
